Pathways to Parity: Expanding Economic Opportunities for Black Workers, Learners and Businesses in the Inland Empire

The Youth Action Project launched a collaborative effort to understand how to improve inequities the Black community in the IE faces in accessing quality jobs, career mobility, business ownership and wealth building opportunities.

As partners, we provided support across all our service lines:

  • We conducted research to understand the local, regional, and state landscape for economic and workforce development in clean energy, transportation, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.

  • We supported strategy design, capacity building, and facilitation for the steering committee and lead organization.

  • We helped design convenings to foster inclusion and drive the successful implementation of these initiatives.

The result is a comprehensive report and strategic vision for Black workers, learners, and business owners in the Inland Empire. It highlights the economic opportunities and systemic barriers impacting Black prosperity, and outlines strategies aimed at achieving Black parity as a crucial step toward advancing racial equity and inclusive economic growth.
